Recent 2 Day Training
Completed the 2 day workshop, not as a complete beginner, but as an improver/aspirer. The first day was spent going over the theory, during which I learned some very useful hints and tips, and the second day was putting it all into practice in the field. A very informative but nicely structured and relaxed workshop and very good value for money. Highly recommended.
Training January 2017
Deciding to explore a different aspect to my usual photographic style, which is anything old & derelict. I thought I'd try photographing moving objects, from birds to moto cross bikes & anything in between.

That's where I came unstuck, used to certain settings & ways of doing things I ended up with colourful blurs or the tail end of a bird.
So I bit the bullet & went to Grahame Dunkin of Lincs Photo Training & explained my problem & what I wanted to achieve.

Grahame took me to the Fat Cat Moto Parc for a half days tuition. He explained that if I started off with something large in the viewfinder & captured movement in that, then progressing on to smaller objects like birds would be easier once I'd mastered the technique. Grahame was very patient & explained fully why I needed certain settings, from the correct f stop, ISO, exposure, to the best focusing option. How to pan in the correct manner both handheld & with the aid of a mono pod. Although for the first half hour or so I struggled a little, I was soon getting results I was pleased with. All the time Grahame was explaining things in a clear easy to understand way.

By the end of my half day's tuition I had a memory card containing images of motocross bikes that were pin sharp where they should be but still showed movement in the bikes wheels.
The results were better than I expected. I never dreamed that I would have results like that after just one half day's tuition.
I can't recommend Lincs Photo Training highly enough. Great value for money.

Thank you for a very full and interesting days training. The morning was very instructive about the camera, and getting to grips with Aperture, F stop Shutter speed and exposure, and also the relationship between these.
In the afternoon we went out and put these things into practice plus learning much more about composition and the importance of considering what you want in the picture and what you want to leave out.
As a result of your days training I am now totally immersed in photography as a hobby and enjoying increasing my skills.
I was impressed by your knowledge, relaxed approach and your patience and I would recommend you to anybody wanting to learn how to get the most out of their camera and develop their skills.

Training November 19
“I spent a very useful day with Grahame who was very patient considering my beginners status. He took time to clarify and answer questions giving examples to help my understanding. The Beginners Course went through the basics of how to take good photographs and the functionality of my Canon EOS M100. Useful handouts that can be referred to after the course ends. In addition, useful images shown to help demonstrate the effect different camera settings can have on the final image.
The day was split into an am and pm session which helped solidify what was learnt and to start building on the earlier session.
Overall, a very useful day where I learned a lot and which has laid the foundations for the start of my photography hobby.”

Thanks Grahame.
